On Oct 25, in the high-tech zone of Jiaozuo city, Henan province, the staff members of the State Grid Jiaozuo Power Supply Company were seen actively promoting the civil construction of the Yellow River 110 kilovolt transmission and transformation project. The project includes the construction of a new 110 kV substation, the installation of a 50,000 kilovolt-ampere transformer, the construction of 14 kilometers of 110 kV lines and the erection of 85 poles and towers. It is expected to be completed and put into operation by June 2025.
"The Yellow River 110 kV transmission and transformation project demonstrates the application of new technologies, such as prefabricated walls and prefabrication of small structures. After completion and operation, it will further optimize the grid structure, improve the power supply capacity, reliability and quality of the Jiaozuo High-tech Zone, meet the electricity needs of investment promotion enterprises and investment promotion and drive local economic development," said Yuan Jiafeng, the project manager.

In order to meet the electricity demand for the construction of the city's modern industrial system and the development of new quality productive forces, the State Grid Jiaozuo Power Supply Company has thoroughly implemented the concept of "six precisions and four modernizations" in power grid construction which outlines the company’s ambition to achieve the connection between power grid planning and urban and rural planning and industrial planning. The company also established a power grid construction project library that is feasible in the near future, with long-term reserve and regular updates. Since the beginning of this year, the company has continued the strong momentum of the number and scale of power grid projects put into operation to hit a record high. A total of seven projects, with a capacity of 110 kV and above, has been put into operation, increasing the electricity supply capacity of the city by 800,000 kilowatts. As a result, it has reinforced strong support for Jiaozuo city to improve the multitier cultivation system of high-quality enterprises, expanding the scale of the group and creating an industrial cluster with core competitiveness.
