Nine Chinese women ranked in the Hurun Top 10 Richest Self-Made Women in the World 2021, according to the Hurun Research Institute.

Zhong Huijuan, chairwoman of Hansoh Pharmaceutical Group, with worth 150 billion yuan, took the crown.

This year, ranking agency Hurun found a total of 130 female billionaires, seeing an increase of 30 percent from last year, with their wealth hitting 3 trillion yuan, surging 63 percent year-on-year. Their average individual wealth reached 22.9 billion yuan, an increase of 25 percent from a year earlier.
