Robot Opti, one of the three robot guardians to Expo 2020 Dubai mascots Latifa and Rashid, and also the robot guardian to the Opportunity Pavilion at the Expo was launched by China-based company Terminus Group, on Tuesday.

Powered by Artificial Intelligence of Things, the Opti robot features multi-touch displays, voice interaction and AI-driven object mapping and detection.

As one of about 150 programmable robots deployed by the company for the six-month-long, mega-event starting Oct 1 this year, Opti will delight visitors during Expo 2020, assisting them with hospitality and taking part in performances and interacting with guests, according to the company.

Founded in 2015, the company has been focusing on Artificial Intelligence of Things and deploying AI CITY worldwide, and is one of the world-leading smart service providers. As an Official Premier Partner for Expo 2020 Dubai, Terminus Group also signed a long-term lease with District 2020, the innovation hub that will utilize more than 80 percent of Expo-built structures post-event.

Expo 2020 Dubai will welcome millions of visitors, as well as more than 200 international participants, including 191 countries, local companies and multinationals.
